JNEK's Bentley of River North CGC received his first AKC title for Novice Jumpers called NAJ at the SmackDab Agility Trial in Naperville, IL on 5/24/08. Also he was 1st Place.

Silent Bell (Bela) finished her first season of field trialing by taking first place in Open Puppy and placing 2nd in Open Derby at the VCOI Winter Walking Trial. By the age of eight months Bela has proven to be a big running pup that handles very smoothly by taking seven field trial placements, two junior hunter qualifies, and most importantly two wild roosters out in the field (Many were missed by bad shooting). Bela is out of John Peck's and Jim Busch's Si Cisco and John Peck's Rio Le Rouge.

FC AFC Saginaw Diamond Dan (Danny) finished as an Amateur Field Champion at the Four Lakes GSP field trial held at Portage in mid-September. This complements a Field Champion title earned this spring during his first season running as a gun dog and on the heels of a very successful derby season. At 2 1/2 years of age Danny is stylish, biddable, and puts down an exciting shooting dog race virtually every time he is cut loose...he is proudly owned and handled by Mark Johnson.

Katie Zwart's girl Jessie VII JH finished her JH title at the VCOI June Hunting Test. Jessie is out of FC O Mega and Tomar's Artemis JH.

Skip & Laurie Wonnell's Jaks ended his first year as a gun dog with a bang, becoming AFC Remek's Red Storm Rising. Along the way he blew a few blues but made up for it with placements in large stakes at all-breed trials. A week later he finished his show championship by going BOW at the Mississippi Valley KC show in Gray Summit, MO making him CH AFC Remek's Red Storm Rising. The future looks bright for this 2 year old.

*Travels With Becka:

A little over a year ago our Rockford Dog Club began a new area of training- Agility. We entered a beginner class and found it a nice change from some other training we have done. Plenty of challenges, activity, and happy dogs, who can run, bark and generally have a pretty good time. Because "Becka" is an exceptional dog (aren't all Vizslas?) our efforts went well. We entered seven events, qualifying in six, with five placements. In the process she has earned three AKC titles. Becka is now: CH JNEK'S Teachers Pet VCD1,JH,TDX,UD A VCD is "Versatile Companion Dog" which means the dog is titled in Obedience, Tracking, and Agility. There are 4 levels, 1-4, as the titles increase in difficulty. We are working on becoming a VCD2 and will earn it, but try to enjoy the journey. When accepting compliments for Becka. *JNEK Vizslas have been very busy lately. Traveling down to Marrietta Ga for the cluster of shows. Including a supported entry and sweeps event.
BIS BISS CH.JNEK's King Ralph JH was Best of Breed 3 of the 4 days. Earning a beautiful Group 2 behind the top sporting dog in the nation. Also, our puppy JNEK's Shooting the Breeze(aka Bria) was Best in Sweeps. The beginning of December had the Sporting Dog Show down in Belleville, Il. Only Sporting dogs were entered on Fridays show. Ralph was awarded Best of Breed and was cut in the strong Group.

Then recently at the Chicago Christmas cluster. We had 2 new puppies making their showing debutes. The Starved Rock Shows at the DuPage Fairgound, Wheaton, IL. at 6 months old. JNEK's King of Swing (aka Benny) was Reverve Winners Dog. His sister JNEK-KITOME I Jes Own Ya Now (aka Jessy)owned by Kim Frank- was Reserve Winners Bitch and Best Puppy also she earned a very deserving Sporting Puppy Group 2.

Thursday shows got even better! Benny was Winners Dog for 2 pts. his sister Jessy was Reserve Winners Bitch.

Friday's show Benny was Reserve Winners Dog and JNEK's Guns N Roses- owned by Kathy Martino- earned a 3 pt major Best of Winners and Opposite.

Saturday and Sundays show moved up to the Steven Donnelly Convention center in Rosemont for the remaining 2 days. Saturday JNEK's It was Meant To Be (aka Tobey)-owned by Jenny and Jeremy Thill- was Reserve Winners Dog. Jessy again was Reserve Winners Bitch and a Ralph Daughter Hilldale's Prnss LXS Wendin was Winners Bitch-Best of Winners and Opposite over a special.

Sunday's show Tobey was Winners Dog and JNEK Bet Your Bottom Dollar (aka Annie)- owned by Kathy Martino- was Winners Bitch-Best of Winners and Opposite over a special for a 3 point major. Tobey and Annie are brother and sister. Ralph had a great weekend too going Best of Breed all 5 days and a Sporting Group 3 on Sunday.

At the Vizsla Club of America National Events, Zippy earned her first leg on her MXP with a first place finish. This leg is title leg on her 25th title. Tru Love of Life CGC - "Tru" has earned his Junior Hunter title at nine months old in four consecutive passes. Thanks to all who have helped Dan and I get our feet wet in this sport! *Our sibling rivalry/spousal rivalry continues. Rugby earned his open agility jumpers title in Sept at the K-9 agility trial in Menomonee Falls (1st place), handled by Joy. Just a few weeks later his sister Robyn earned her open agility standard title at the CarDunAl agility trial in Belvedere (4th place), handled by Bill. Missy Raye also finished her open agility standard title with Bill leading the way in Menomonee Falls. Ziggy and Zayda Lykowski were featured in the Daily Herald (Chicago area) Neighbor section on July 9th. Cheryl had posed the dogs for her own photo during the Barrington parade, and the photographer asked if he could take a picture as well.

Berry's Diamond LK Cleopatra SH "Cleo" won the Open Gun Dog and 4th in the Amateur Gun Dog Saturday 5/22 at the Ft Detroit GWP Club trial at Highland, MI.

M'Kayla Stahr competed in the "Midwest Regional Top Junior Handler" competition, for all juniors in the Midwest that had 2 open wins. Prizes were a $1000 scholarship, three $250 scholarships, and jackets. It was a very competitive event, and M'Kayla received an AOM, which gave her a $250 scholarship and a nice jacket. CH JNEK's Teacher's Pet CDX TDX JH was entered in a Utility A obedience show where she Qualified twice. Saturday's score was 182.5 and Sunday's was 191.5 There were 62 entries for the weekend, and only six dog received qualifying scores. Becka is owned by Mel & Nancy Lloyd.

FC Homerun's Stunt Pilot "Fly" finished her Amateur Field Championship (pending AKC approval) at the VCOI spring field trial. Fly is owned by Stephanie Russo.
