August VCOI Fun Field Trial, Obedience & Conformation Demonstration
- Busch Farm
The
VCOI fun trial was again held at the Busch Farm. And once again,
Field Trail dogs were separated from the non-field trial dogs
in the stakes run. Approval from All! It rained like h___ ALL
DAY LONG, and even the most popular "stop the rain"
dance by Jim and constant reassurance of Maryann Ingraffia, "It
Ain't gonna rain no more", didn't help. VCOI members and
friends (hearty souls) braved it all--no fair weather friends
here. The Day was filled with activities. First a Thank You to
our Judges: Roger Paluska and Mike Florian, owners of Top-Ten
Derby dogs, who judged in this "monsoon" instead od
running their dogs. Thanks Guys!!!
Second,
to Don Carlson & "Hunya" for their demonstration,
with comments by Mary Duitsman. Tis portion of the days activites
was held in the barn, and very well recieve by all. Questions
and answer period followed the obedience demonstration.
Third.
Conformation demonstration by Kathy Harmer and Ch. Polar Kaps
Sporting Goods & Maryann Ingraffia & Ch. Brookwood's ROC
O. Comments by Tony & Ann Lucas. We saw some good looking
young vizslas. Help in handling & stacking a dog was give
to many.
Show
season next year should be an excellent one!
Fourth.
Bird Planting contest. Rain and all, the kids had a ball. Tie
and trophies went to Jennifer Ciolkowski and Ami Duitsman. Future
Bird planters Jim????
Thanks
to gunnars Tony Lucas (Ann, he needs a new rain suit) and Roy
Greffin. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO Jim & Linda for their patience
and the use of their home. The hot coffee at the end of a very
wet day Hit The Spot.
Thanks
to the following members who helped out: Chris Gaulke with taking
entries, Phil Soifer donating those beautiful dog prints for all
placing dogs, John Pecora and Dennis Cakora - Trophies, Bird Planters,
